Telehealth for South Lake Tahoe residents · Main clinic and headquarters in Pasadena, California
Alpha Hormones® · South Lake Tahoe, California
Living on the south shore of Lake Tahoe often means specialist care involves a trip down the mountain. Alpha Hormones® offers another route. Our physician-led practice is based in Pasadena, and El Dorado County patients work with us through telehealth, from the first consultation onward. People reach out about menopause symptoms, testosterone questions, thyroid concerns, peptide therapy and medical weight management. Each starts with a video visit, followed by lab work at a draw site you can reach without a long detour.
How Care Works From South Lake Tahoe
Your provider meets you on video, so you can join from home in South Lake Tahoe or Meyers instead of planning a drive out of the basin. Lab orders are sent so you can complete testing at a draw site that suits you, whether that is near the lake or on a day you are already down in Placerville or the Sacramento area. Results are reviewed together at your next appointment.
Follow-up care continues by video on a schedule your provider sets with you. Coming to the Pasadena clinic is an option rather than an expectation; some patients prefer to fold it into a trip to Southern California. Our team can also help you time repeat labs so the results are ready before each follow-up visit, which keeps every conversation focused and useful.

The Alpha Hormones® Difference
Your symptoms, health history, test results, and goals guide the conversation. Together, we discuss care options so you understand the next steps.
When testing is needed, your provider explains the results. These findings help guide treatment decisions and a plan to monitor your progress.
As care continues, follow-up visits and testing help your provider check your response. You can also ask questions and discuss changes to your plan.

Questions Before You Book
Our providers are licensed for telehealth in California, Florida and Texas, not Nevada. Because licensure generally depends on where the patient is during a visit, plan to join your appointments from the California side of the lake. If work or errands regularly take you into Stateline or elsewhere in Nevada, mention it when you book so our team can help you schedule around it.
Not as a routine step. HGH and peptide therapy start with a video consultation and lab work at a local draw site, and your provider decides after reviewing results whether it is an appropriate option for you. Prescribing depends on your evaluation and state rules. If your provider believes an in-person exam is needed, you will talk through the options together before anything is scheduled.
Call our Pasadena team at (213) 334-4111 or use Book Your Appointment on this page. We will ask a few questions, confirm which service you are interested in, and find a video slot during clinic hours, which run weekdays from 9am to 6pm and Saturdays from 9am to 1pm, Pacific time. If you plan to use a PPO plan, mention it so our team can begin a benefits check.
Your provider will explain when telehealth is not enough and what the next step should be. Our physical clinic is in Pasadena; if you are farther away, you may need care from a clinician near you. Telehealth is not an emergency service; call 911 for a medical emergency.
Bring a list of your current medications and supplements, any lab results from the past year, and a short summary of your symptoms and when they started. If you plan to use insurance, have your card ready. This helps your provider make good use of the visit and recommend the right testing.
We work with many PPO plans, and our team can check your benefits before your first visit. Benefits vary by plan, and a verification does not guarantee coverage. Self-pay and Alpha Membership options are also available. Call (213) 334-4111 to review your options.
Any prescription depends on your provider’s evaluation, your lab results and the rules of the state you are in. If treatment is appropriate, your provider explains the plan, and our team helps coordinate pharmacy details and follow-up. Some therapies use compounded medications, which are not FDA-approved, and your provider will explain what that means for you.
