Telehealth for San Francisco residents · Main clinic and headquarters in Pasadena, California
Alpha Hormones® · San Francisco, California
Whether you live in the Sunset, Noe Valley or the Marina, getting to a specialist appointment in San Francisco can take planning. Alpha Hormones® removes the trip by seeing city patients through telehealth. We are a physician-led practice headquartered in Pasadena, focused on hormones, metabolic health and longevity medicine. Care begins with a video conversation about what you have noticed and what you want to address, then moves to lab work at a draw site in the city or on the Peninsula.
How Care Works From San Francisco
Each visit happens on a secure video connection, so you can join from an apartment, a home office or a private corner at work. Your provider orders labs suited to the service you are exploring, whether that is women's BHRT, a men's testosterone evaluation, thyroid care or HGH and peptide therapy. You visit a local draw site, and the results are reviewed with you at the next appointment.
The rhythm of follow-up depends on your plan. Early on, your provider may want to check in more often while watching how you respond; later, visits can spread out. Travel to our Pasadena clinic is optional for San Francisco patients and tends to make sense only when you are already heading to Southern California. Otherwise, everything runs remotely.

The Alpha Hormones® Difference
Your symptoms, health history, test results, and goals guide the conversation. Together, we discuss care options so you understand the next steps.
When testing is needed, your provider explains the results. These findings help guide treatment decisions and a plan to monitor your progress.
As care continues, follow-up visits and testing help your provider check your response. You can also ask questions and discuss changes to your plan.

Questions Before You Book
For most San Francisco patients it is not necessary. First visits are designed to work well by video, and lab work happens locally. Some people still prefer to meet in person, and you are welcome to book a visit at our Pasadena clinic if you plan to travel. Your provider will let you know if your situation calls for a physical exam and talk through the options if it does.
Peptide therapy begins the same way as our other services: a video consultation, a review of your health history and appropriate lab work. Your provider will explain whether a peptide is a reasonable option, what is and is not known about it, and how it would be monitored. Some peptides are prepared by compounding pharmacies and are not FDA-approved, and your provider will explain what that means for you.
Our providers are licensed in both California and Florida, so care can often continue while you are in either state. Prescribing still follows each state's rules and your provider's clinical judgment. Let our team know your schedule ahead of time so appointments line up with where you will be. Florida runs on Eastern time, three hours ahead of our Pacific-based team, which is worth remembering when you book.
Your provider will explain when telehealth is not enough and what the next step should be. Our physical clinic is in Pasadena; if you are farther away, you may need care from a clinician near you. Telehealth is not an emergency service; call 911 for a medical emergency.
We work with many PPO plans, and our team can check your benefits before your first visit. Benefits vary by plan, and a verification does not guarantee coverage. Self-pay and Alpha Membership options are also available. Call (213) 334-4111 to review your options.
Any prescription depends on your provider’s evaluation, your lab results and the rules of the state you are in. If treatment is appropriate, your provider explains the plan, and our team helps coordinate pharmacy details and follow-up. Some therapies use compounded medications, which are not FDA-approved, and your provider will explain what that means for you.
Yes. Alpha Hormones® follows HIPAA requirements for protecting health information, and video visits take place over a secure connection. Please avoid sending detailed medical information by regular email; our team can tell you the right way to share records.
