Telehealth for Miami residents · Main clinic and headquarters in Pasadena, California
Alpha Hormones® · Miami, Florida
Alpha Hormones® cares for adults across Miami-Dade County through telehealth, from Brickell and Coconut Grove to Doral and Kendall. Patients here often come to us for women's BHRT during perimenopause or menopause, a testosterone evaluation, medical weight management, or thyroid care. Care starts with a video visit with one of our Florida-licensed providers, who reviews your history and symptoms and orders baseline labs. Because our team works from Pasadena on Pacific time, we help you find appointment times that fit a South Florida workday.
How Care Works From Miami
Every Miami visit with Alpha Hormones® happens by secure video. All five of our providers hold Florida licenses: Dr. Rotana Steven Tek, D.O., our founder and medical director; Julianne Humason, FNP-BC; Marcus Lee, FNP-C; Monikeo Williamson, FNP-BC; and Kellie Klein, PA-C. Your provider reviews your goals, explains options, and decides whether treatment is appropriate based on your evaluation and Florida rules.
Lab work is drawn at a local site in the Miami area, and our team coordinates the order so results come back to your provider. Follow-up visits are also virtual, usually set around new labs or a change in your plan. You will not need to travel to California at any point. Between visits, our clinic team can be reached at (213) 334-4111 during Pacific business hours.

The Alpha Hormones® Difference
Your symptoms, health history, test results, and goals guide the conversation. Together, we discuss care options so you understand the next steps.
When testing is needed, your provider explains the results. These findings help guide treatment decisions and a plan to monitor your progress.
As care continues, follow-up visits and testing help your provider check your response. You can also ask questions and discuss changes to your plan.

Questions Before You Book
Our clinic team is based in Pasadena and works on Pacific time, which runs three hours behind Miami. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm Pacific, and Saturday, 9am to 1pm Pacific. In Eastern time, that is noon to 9pm on weekdays and noon to 4pm on Saturday. When you book, confirm the time in Eastern time so your video visit lands where you expect it.
The Alpha Hormones® in-house laboratory is at the Pasadena clinic, so Miami-Dade patients use a local draw site instead. After your first visit, our team coordinates the lab order with a draw site convenient to you, whether that is closer to Hialeah, Coral Gables or Aventura. Results go to your provider, who reviews them with you during a follow-up video visit before any treatment decisions are made.
We work with many PPO plans, but benefits vary from plan to plan. Our team can verify your benefits before your first appointment, although verification does not guarantee coverage. If you prefer not to use insurance, self-pay and Alpha Membership options are available. Requesting a benefits check before you book is the simplest way to know what to expect from your plan.
Your provider will explain when telehealth is not enough and what the next step should be. Our physical clinic is in Pasadena; if you are farther away, you may need care from a clinician near you. Telehealth is not an emergency service; call 911 for a medical emergency.
Bring a list of your current medications and supplements, any lab results from the past year, and a short summary of your symptoms and when they started. If you plan to use insurance, have your card ready. This helps your provider make good use of the visit and recommend the right testing.
Any prescription depends on your provider’s evaluation, your lab results and the rules of the state you are in. If treatment is appropriate, your provider explains the plan, and our team helps coordinate pharmacy details and follow-up. Some therapies use compounded medications, which are not FDA-approved, and your provider will explain what that means for you.
Yes. Alpha Hormones® follows HIPAA requirements for protecting health information, and video visits take place over a secure connection. Please avoid sending detailed medical information by regular email; our team can tell you the right way to share records.
