Hormone Care for Greater Houston From Texas-Licensed Providers

Patients across Harris County, from The Heights and Bellaire out to Katy and The Woodlands, can work with Alpha Hormones® entirely by telehealth. In Texas, your care is provided only by Dr. Rotana Steven Tek, D.O., our founder and medical director, or Monikeo Williamson, FNP-BC, the two members of our team licensed in the state. We help Houston adults with women's BHRT, testosterone evaluation, medical weight management, thyroid care and longevity medicine, beginning with a video consultation and labs drawn near home.

How Care Works From Houston

Who You Will See and How Visits Work From Houston

Alpha Hormones® has five providers, but only two are licensed in Texas: Dr. Rotana Steven Tek, D.O. and Monikeo Williamson, FNP-BC. Every Houston appointment is scheduled with one of them. That smaller roster means your chart stays with a familiar clinician, and it may also mean fewer openings than in California or Florida, so booking ahead helps.

All visits happen by secure video, and there is no expectation that you travel to our Pasadena clinic. When labs are needed, our team coordinates a draw at a local site in the Houston area and your provider reviews results with you at a follow-up visit. Whether medication is prescribed depends on your clinical evaluation and Texas rules.

If you are looking to feel better during your later stages of life, this is the place to come. Kelly was very informative and gave me options of ways to try and get myself to feeling my best self.
I highly recommend Dr.Tek at Alpha Hormones. He is a knowledgeable, thorough, and attentive physician who takes time to listen. He looks closely at detailed lab work to build a personalized treatment plan and identify root causes. If you want a doctor who combines cutting-edge expertise with genuine, individualized care, Dr. Tek is the best!
Absolutely love Alpha Hormones. Dr Monikeo is amazing! I was recommended to her by a colleague and I would highly recommend her as well as the office to anyone who wants the best care.
I went to this doctor back in March of 2026. I was concerned about the labs ordered because if they are not covered under insurance, they can be very expensive. After sharing this with the doctor, he assured me that the staff would resubmit any codes if needed. Sure, enough I received a $500+ lab bill for 4 labs. It took a little time but the staff did submit new codes and I was just informed that the quest bill now has a 0 balance. I have to give the staff credit for sticking with me though this ordeal. Thank you, Mae, Paul and anyone else with Alpha who helped in this situation.
Julianne was very thoughtful and detailed in her questions and took the time to do a full blood analysis. She answered many concerns and a treatment plan that works for me.
I appreciate the attention and completeness of care I get. The whole operation is very efficient. I love that all my questions and concerns are fully discussed and addressed. I highly recommend the staff and care providers at Alpha Hormones

Questions Before You Book

Houston Patient FAQs

Why can only two providers see me in Texas?

Telehealth providers must hold a license in the state where the patient is located during the visit. Of our five providers, Dr. Rotana Steven Tek, D.O. and Monikeo Williamson, FNP-BC hold Texas licenses, so they are the only ones who can treat Houston patients. Our other providers are licensed in California and Florida. Scheduling, lab coordination and billing questions are still handled by our full clinic team.

Where will my labs be drawn?

Because the Alpha Hormones® in-house laboratory is inside the Pasadena clinic, Houston patients use a local draw site instead. Our team sends the order and helps you find a location that works, whether you are closer to Sugar Land, Pearland or Cypress. Results come back to your Texas-licensed provider, who reviews them before recommending any treatment and again at follow-up points in your plan.

Is HGH or peptide therapy offered by telehealth in Texas?

HGH and peptide therapy is one of our services, and it begins the same way as everything else: a video evaluation, a review of your health history and appropriate labs. Whether any peptide or growth hormone treatment is suitable depends on that evaluation and on Texas regulations, and some options may not be appropriate or available. Your provider will explain the reasoning, including what is and is not FDA-approved.

What if I need an in-person examination?

Your provider will explain when telehealth is not enough and what the next step should be. Our physical clinic is in Pasadena; if you are farther away, you may need care from a clinician near you. Telehealth is not an emergency service; call 911 for a medical emergency.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Bring a list of your current medications and supplements, any lab results from the past year, and a short summary of your symptoms and when they started. If you plan to use insurance, have your card ready. This helps your provider make good use of the visit and recommend the right testing.

Does Alpha Hormones® accept insurance?

We work with many PPO plans, and our team can check your benefits before your first visit. Benefits vary by plan, and a verification does not guarantee coverage. Self-pay and Alpha Membership options are also available. Call (213) 334-4111 to review your options.

How are prescriptions handled?

Any prescription depends on your provider’s evaluation, your lab results and the rules of the state you are in. If treatment is appropriate, your provider explains the plan, and our team helps coordinate pharmacy details and follow-up. Some therapies use compounded medications, which are not FDA-approved, and your provider will explain what that means for you.

Is there an Alpha Hormones® office in Texas?

No. Alpha Hormones® does not have a physical location in Texas. Care for Texas patients takes place by video with Dr. Rotana Steven Tek, D.O., or Monikeo Williamson, FNP-BC, the two members of our team licensed in Texas. Lab work is drawn at a local site, and if your provider recommends a hands-on exam, they will discuss seeing a clinician near you.

Do I need to be in Texas during my video visit?

Licensure follows where you are during the visit. If you join from Texas, your appointment will be with Dr. Tek or Monikeo Williamson. Both are also licensed in California and Florida, so a visit can usually go forward from those states as well. Let our team know ahead of time if you will be traveling.
