Telehealth for Carmel residents · Main clinic and headquarters in Pasadena, California
Alpha Hormones® · Carmel, California
Carmel-by-the-Sea and the wider Monterey Peninsula, including Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, Monterey and Carmel Valley, are served by Alpha Hormones® through telehealth. For adults who want a careful, data-driven look at how they are aging, along with care for specific concerns, the first step is a secure video visit with a California-licensed provider. Your provider reviews your history and goals and orders local labs. Services include longevity medicine, women's BHRT, testosterone evaluation, thyroid care and medical weight management.
How Care Works From Carmel
Visits are held over secure video, so you can meet your provider from home on the Peninsula. Lab work is completed at a draw site in Monterey County, and your results go directly to your Alpha Hormones® provider for review. Because our in-house lab is at the Pasadena clinic, remote patients rely on local draw sites for every round of testing.
Follow-up appointments continue by telehealth at intervals tied to your plan. Should you wish to meet in person, you can arrange a visit to our Pasadena clinic, though Carmel patients are not expected to make that trip. Scheduling follows Pasadena clinic hours on weekdays and Saturday mornings, Pacific time, which keeps coordination straightforward for Peninsula residents.

The Alpha Hormones® Difference
Your symptoms, health history, test results, and goals guide the conversation. Together, we discuss care options so you understand the next steps.
When testing is needed, your provider explains the results. These findings help guide treatment decisions and a plan to monitor your progress.
As care continues, follow-up visits and testing help your provider check your response. You can also ask questions and discuss changes to your plan.

Questions Before You Book
Longevity medicine at Alpha Hormones® focuses on understanding your current health through history, symptoms and lab testing, then discussing practical, evidence-informed steps that fit your goals. By video, your provider reviews results from a Monterey County draw site and explains what they suggest. It is not about promises or quick fixes. Any recommendations, including whether treatment is appropriate, depend on your individual clinical evaluation.
You may be able to. Visits must take place while you are physically in a state where your provider is licensed. All Alpha Hormones® providers are licensed in California and Florida. In Texas, only Dr. Tek and Monikeo Williamson are licensed, so visits there would be with one of them. Tell our team about your travel pattern so we can schedule visits and labs accordingly.
No. Your provider sends orders to a draw site in Monterey County, so blood can be drawn close to Carmel. You will receive any preparation instructions, such as fasting or time-of-day guidance, before your appointment. After the lab reports results, your provider reviews them with you by video and explains how they relate to your symptoms, history and plan. Repeat testing follows the same local process.
Your provider will explain when telehealth is not enough and what the next step should be. Our physical clinic is in Pasadena; if you are farther away, you may need care from a clinician near you. Telehealth is not an emergency service; call 911 for a medical emergency.
Bring a list of your current medications and supplements, any lab results from the past year, and a short summary of your symptoms and when they started. If you plan to use insurance, have your card ready. This helps your provider make good use of the visit and recommend the right testing.
We work with many PPO plans, and our team can check your benefits before your first visit. Benefits vary by plan, and a verification does not guarantee coverage. Self-pay and Alpha Membership options are also available. Call (213) 334-4111 to review your options.
Any prescription depends on your provider’s evaluation, your lab results and the rules of the state you are in. If treatment is appropriate, your provider explains the plan, and our team helps coordinate pharmacy details and follow-up. Some therapies use compounded medications, which are not FDA-approved, and your provider will explain what that means for you.
