Telehealth for Oxnard residents · Main clinic and headquarters in Pasadena, California
Alpha Hormones® · Oxnard, California
Oxnard, on the Ventura County coast, is outside the Los Angeles area but still within reach of our Pasadena clinic for occasional visits. Alpha Hormones® serves Oxnard patients mainly through telehealth, so you can see a California-licensed provider without regular trips over the county line. Common concerns include menopause symptoms, low testosterone, thyroid changes, weight management and sexual wellness. Care begins with a careful conversation about your history and goals, followed by lab work your provider selects for your situation.
How Care Works From Oxnard
Your first visit takes place by video and focuses on understanding what has changed and why. From there, your provider orders labs. If you decide to visit Pasadena, our in-house laboratory can handle the draw during your appointment. If not, the care team will explain how ordered tests can be completed in Ventura County, depending on the panels requested and your insurance.
Results are discussed in a follow-up telehealth visit, and the plan is adjusted over time with your Alpha Hormones® provider. Many Oxnard patients never need routine in-person care, though some find it helpful to make one trip to Pasadena early on or when an exam is recommended. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturdays from 9am to 1pm.

The Alpha Hormones® Difference
Your symptoms, health history, test results, and goals guide the conversation. Together, we discuss care options so you understand the next steps.
When testing is needed, your provider explains the results. These findings help guide treatment decisions and a plan to monitor your progress.
As care continues, follow-up visits and testing help your provider check your response. You can also ask questions and discuss changes to your plan.

Questions Before You Book
Most services begin well by video, including women's BHRT, men's testosterone evaluation, thyroid care, medical weight management, sexual wellness and longevity medicine. Your provider will tell you when a physical exam is needed, for example to evaluate a specific symptom or to monitor certain treatments. In that case, an in-person visit at our Pasadena clinic is arranged. Whether treatment is prescribed depends on your evaluation and results.
The Alpha Hormones® team can review your PPO benefits before your first appointment so you have a clearer picture of what to expect. Plans differ, and even a completed verification does not guarantee coverage. Self-pay and Alpha Membership are alternatives for Oxnard patients who prefer not to use insurance or whose plan does not fit the services they want. Let the team know your preference when you call (213) 334-4111.
Once your results are available to your provider, a telehealth visit is scheduled to walk through them. Your Alpha Hormones® provider will explain what each value means for your symptoms and goals, answer questions, and outline any treatment options or further testing. If results raise a question that is best addressed in person, you will be offered a visit at the Pasadena clinic. Bring any questions you wrote down while waiting.
Your provider will explain when telehealth is not enough and what the next step should be. Our physical clinic is in Pasadena; if you are farther away, you may need care from a clinician near you. Telehealth is not an emergency service; call 911 for a medical emergency.
Bring a list of your current medications and supplements, any lab results from the past year, and a short summary of your symptoms and when they started. If you plan to use insurance, have your card ready. This helps your provider make good use of the visit and recommend the right testing.
Any prescription depends on your provider’s evaluation, your lab results and the rules of the state you are in. If treatment is appropriate, your provider explains the plan, and our team helps coordinate pharmacy details and follow-up. Some therapies use compounded medications, which are not FDA-approved, and your provider will explain what that means for you.
Yes. Alpha Hormones® follows HIPAA requirements for protecting health information, and video visits take place over a secure connection. Please avoid sending detailed medical information by regular email; our team can tell you the right way to share records.
