Telehealth for Jacksonville residents · Main clinic and headquarters in Pasadena, California
Alpha Hormones® · Jacksonville, Florida
Jacksonville covers a lot of ground, from Riverside and San Marco to the Beaches, and Alpha Hormones® meets patients across Duval County by video so distance is not a factor. As a physician-led practice, we focus on women's BHRT, men's testosterone evaluation, thyroid care, longevity medicine and medical weight management. Care begins with a telehealth consultation with a Florida-licensed provider. Before that first visit, our team can check your PPO benefits or walk you through self-pay and Alpha Membership options so cost questions are settled early.
How Care Works From Jacksonville
Your visits with Alpha Hormones® are conducted by secure video, and every provider on our team is licensed in Florida: Dr. Rotana Steven Tek, D.O., who founded the practice and serves as medical director, along with Julianne Humason, FNP-BC, Marcus Lee, FNP-C, Monikeo Williamson, FNP-BC, and Kellie Klein, PA-C. Prescribing decisions rest on your evaluation and Florida law.
When labs are needed, our team coordinates a draw at a local site convenient to Jacksonville, Orange Park or Ponte Vedra Beach, and results go straight to your provider. Follow-up appointments continue by video. Keep in mind that our clinic team works on Pacific time, three hours behind the First Coast, so weekday clinic hours fall between noon and 9pm Eastern.

The Alpha Hormones® Difference
Your symptoms, health history, test results, and goals guide the conversation. Together, we discuss care options so you understand the next steps.
When testing is needed, your provider explains the results. These findings help guide treatment decisions and a plan to monitor your progress.
As care continues, follow-up visits and testing help your provider check your response. You can also ask questions and discuss changes to your plan.

Questions Before You Book
You have three general paths. We work with many PPO plans, and our team can verify benefits before you book, though verification does not guarantee coverage and benefits vary by plan. Self-pay is available if you prefer to keep things simple. Alpha Membership is another option, and our team can explain what it includes when you call (213) 334-4111. Ask about lab costs as well, since labs are drawn at a local site.
Let us know as soon as your move is planned. Our providers can continue your care by telehealth only in states where they are licensed, which means California and Florida for the full team and Texas for Dr. Tek and Monikeo Williamson, FNP-BC. If you are relocating somewhere else, your provider can help you plan a handoff, share records with your permission, and avoid a gap in monitoring.
Yes. Thyroid care is its own service at Alpha Hormones®, not an add-on. If fatigue, weight changes or other symptoms have you wondering about your thyroid, your first video visit focuses on that history, and your provider decides which labs to order at a draw site near you. Results guide whether treatment, further testing or a referral to another clinician makes the most sense for your situation.
Your provider will explain when telehealth is not enough and what the next step should be. Our physical clinic is in Pasadena; if you are farther away, you may need care from a clinician near you. Telehealth is not an emergency service; call 911 for a medical emergency.
Bring a list of your current medications and supplements, any lab results from the past year, and a short summary of your symptoms and when they started. If you plan to use insurance, have your card ready. This helps your provider make good use of the visit and recommend the right testing.
We work with many PPO plans, and our team can check your benefits before your first visit. Benefits vary by plan, and a verification does not guarantee coverage. Self-pay and Alpha Membership options are also available. Call (213) 334-4111 to review your options.
Any prescription depends on your provider’s evaluation, your lab results and the rules of the state you are in. If treatment is appropriate, your provider explains the plan, and our team helps coordinate pharmacy details and follow-up. Some therapies use compounded medications, which are not FDA-approved, and your provider will explain what that means for you.
