Telehealth for San Luis Obispo residents · Main clinic and headquarters in Pasadena, California
Alpha Hormones® · San Luis Obispo, California
San Luis Obispo sits well up the Central Coast from our Pasadena clinic, so Alpha Hormones® cares for patients here through telehealth. That includes residents of SLO itself as well as Pismo Beach, Arroyo Grande, Morro Bay and the North County towns of Atascadero and Paso Robles. The process begins with a video visit with a California-licensed provider, who reviews your concerns and recommends lab testing. Services include BHRT for women, testosterone evaluation for men, medical weight management and sexual wellness care.
How Care Works From San Luis Obispo
Consultations and follow-ups are held over secure video during Pasadena clinic hours. When your provider orders bloodwork, you complete it at a draw site in San Luis Obispo County. The Alpha Hormones® in-house laboratory serves only patients seen at the Pasadena clinic, so local testing is the normal route for Central Coast patients.
Once results are in, your provider meets with you by video to explain them and discuss whether treatment is appropriate. Follow-up visits continue on a schedule tied to your plan, with labs repeated as needed. A trip to Pasadena for an in-person visit is available but never required, and care is designed to work fully by telehealth from the Central Coast.

The Alpha Hormones® Difference
Your symptoms, health history, test results, and goals guide the conversation. Together, we discuss care options so you understand the next steps.
When testing is needed, your provider explains the results. These findings help guide treatment decisions and a plan to monitor your progress.
As care continues, follow-up visits and testing help your provider check your response. You can also ask questions and discuss changes to your plan.

Questions Before You Book
Your provider sends lab orders to a draw site in San Luis Obispo County, so you can have blood drawn in or near SLO, the Five Cities area or North County. Some hormone tests have timing or fasting instructions, and your provider will explain those beforehand. Results go to your Alpha Hormones® provider, who reviews them with you at a video visit rather than leaving you to interpret them alone.
Telehealth visits depend on where you are physically located at the time of the visit. Our whole team holds California and Florida licenses, while in Texas only Dr. Tek and Monikeo Williamson are licensed. If you move to one of those states, care may be able to continue. If you move elsewhere, we can help you plan a transition to a local clinician. Let us know as early as you can.
Yes, the evaluation itself works well by video. Your provider asks about symptoms, health history and medications, then orders blood tests at a local draw site, often with timing instructions. Testosterone therapy is not assumed. Whether treatment is appropriate depends on your labs, your history and a clinical evaluation, and your provider will explain the reasoning in either case so you understand the decision.
Your provider will explain when telehealth is not enough and what the next step should be. Our physical clinic is in Pasadena; if you are farther away, you may need care from a clinician near you. Telehealth is not an emergency service; call 911 for a medical emergency.
Bring a list of your current medications and supplements, any lab results from the past year, and a short summary of your symptoms and when they started. If you plan to use insurance, have your card ready. This helps your provider make good use of the visit and recommend the right testing.
We work with many PPO plans, and our team can check your benefits before your first visit. Benefits vary by plan, and a verification does not guarantee coverage. Self-pay and Alpha Membership options are also available. Call (213) 334-4111 to review your options.
Any prescription depends on your provider’s evaluation, your lab results and the rules of the state you are in. If treatment is appropriate, your provider explains the plan, and our team helps coordinate pharmacy details and follow-up. Some therapies use compounded medications, which are not FDA-approved, and your provider will explain what that means for you.
