Telehealth for Redding residents · Main clinic and headquarters in Pasadena, California
Alpha Hormones® · Redding, California
At the northern end of the Sacramento Valley, Redding is a long way from Southern California, so Alpha Hormones® serves Shasta County patients by telehealth unless they choose to travel. Our physician-led team helps adults sort through hormone changes, metabolic concerns and long-term health planning. A first video visit lets you explain what you are noticing in your own words. From there, your provider orders lab work you can complete locally and schedules a follow-up to review the findings with you.
How Care Works From Redding
Video visits mean you can stay in Redding, Anderson or Shasta Lake and still work directly with a provider who focuses on hormone and metabolic medicine. Our team handles scheduling from Pasadena and sends lab orders for a draw site near you. Once testing is complete, a results visit gives you room to ask questions before any decision about treatment is made.
Ongoing care for North State patients runs on telehealth follow-ups paired with periodic labs. You do not need to make the trip to Pasadena, though you are welcome at the clinic if you are visiting Southern California and would like to meet face to face. The in-house laboratory serves patients seen in person there, while Redding patients rely on local draws.

The Alpha Hormones® Difference
Your symptoms, health history, test results, and goals guide the conversation. Together, we discuss care options so you understand the next steps.
When testing is needed, your provider explains the results. These findings help guide treatment decisions and a plan to monitor your progress.
As care continues, follow-up visits and testing help your provider check your response. You can also ask questions and discuss changes to your plan.

Questions Before You Book
Yes. A testosterone evaluation starts with a video conversation about symptoms and history, followed by lab work at a local draw site. Your provider reviews the results with you and explains whether therapy is worth considering, along with its trade-offs. Any prescription depends on your clinical evaluation and California rules. Monitoring, if you move forward, continues through telehealth visits and repeat labs.
Yes. Along with working with many PPO plans, Alpha Hormones® offers self-pay and an Alpha Membership. Which route makes sense depends on your plan, the services you are interested in and your own preferences. Our team can explain the differences when you call and, if you want to use insurance, start a benefits verification, keeping in mind that verification does not guarantee coverage.
For many women in perimenopause or menopause, BHRT care fits a telehealth model. Your first visit covers symptoms, cycle history and health background, and lab work is drawn locally in the Redding area. Your provider then explains whether BHRT is a reasonable option and how it would be monitored. If an in-person exam is needed at any point, your provider will discuss how to arrange it.
Your provider will explain when telehealth is not enough and what the next step should be. Our physical clinic is in Pasadena; if you are farther away, you may need care from a clinician near you. Telehealth is not an emergency service; call 911 for a medical emergency.
Bring a list of your current medications and supplements, any lab results from the past year, and a short summary of your symptoms and when they started. If you plan to use insurance, have your card ready. This helps your provider make good use of the visit and recommend the right testing.
Any prescription depends on your provider’s evaluation, your lab results and the rules of the state you are in. If treatment is appropriate, your provider explains the plan, and our team helps coordinate pharmacy details and follow-up. Some therapies use compounded medications, which are not FDA-approved, and your provider will explain what that means for you.
Yes. Alpha Hormones® follows HIPAA requirements for protecting health information, and video visits take place over a secure connection. Please avoid sending detailed medical information by regular email; our team can tell you the right way to share records.
