Telehealth for Malibu residents · Main clinic and headquarters in Pasadena, California
Alpha Hormones® · Malibu, California
Stretched along the Pacific Coast Highway beneath the Santa Monica Mountains, Malibu is part of Los Angeles County yet feels removed from the urban core. Alpha Hormones® serves Malibu residents with a model that keeps travel purposeful: an in-person evaluation at our Pasadena clinic, followed by telehealth for much of the ongoing care. Patients here seek us out for longevity medicine, women's BHRT, testosterone evaluation, HGH and peptide therapy, and thyroid care, each guided by a physician-led team.
How Care Works From Malibu
Because the drive from Malibu can be unpredictable, we encourage patients to combine tasks. Your first Pasadena appointment typically includes your evaluation and a blood draw in our in-house lab during the same visit. Later trips can be timed to bundle a lab draw with any exam your provider wants, rather than splitting them across separate days.
Between those visits, telehealth keeps your care moving. Your provider can walk through results, adjust a plan and answer questions by secure video from home in Malibu. If something new comes up, a video visit is often the fastest first step, and your provider will advise if an in-person evaluation is warranted. Telehealth is not meant for emergencies.

The Alpha Hormones® Difference
Your symptoms, health history, test results, and goals guide the conversation. Together, we discuss care options so you understand the next steps.
When testing is needed, your provider explains the results. These findings help guide treatment decisions and a plan to monitor your progress.
As care continues, follow-up visits and testing help your provider check your response. You can also ask questions and discuss changes to your plan.

Questions Before You Book
There is no fixed number. It depends on your service, how often labs are needed and whether your provider wants to examine you. Early in treatment, visits are more frequent; once a plan is stable, many Malibu patients come in mainly for periodic lab draws. Your provider will outline an expected schedule and look for ways to consolidate trips whenever that is clinically reasonable.
After the initial evaluation and labs in Pasadena, much of the monitoring conversation can happen by video. Whether HGH or peptide therapy is appropriate at all depends on your history and results. Compounded products are not FDA-approved, and your provider will explain what any option involves. Periodic lab work is part of responsible monitoring, so expect occasional return visits to the clinic.
Telehealth visits must take place where your provider is licensed. Every Alpha Hormones® provider holds California and Florida licensure, while Texas licensure is held by Dr. Tek and Monikeo Williamson. If you spend time in Florida or Texas, care may continue with an appropriately licensed provider. In other states, our team will discuss how to plan around your time away.
Your provider will explain when telehealth is not enough and what the next step should be. Our physical clinic is in Pasadena; if you are farther away, you may need care from a clinician near you. Telehealth is not an emergency service; call 911 for a medical emergency.
Bring a list of your current medications and supplements, any lab results from the past year, and a short summary of your symptoms and when they started. If you plan to use insurance, have your card ready. This helps your provider make good use of the visit and recommend the right testing.
We work with many PPO plans, and our team can check your benefits before your first visit. Benefits vary by plan, and a verification does not guarantee coverage. Self-pay and Alpha Membership options are also available. Call (213) 334-4111 to review your options.
Any prescription depends on your provider’s evaluation, your lab results and the rules of the state you are in. If treatment is appropriate, your provider explains the plan, and our team helps coordinate pharmacy details and follow-up. Some therapies use compounded medications, which are not FDA-approved, and your provider will explain what that means for you.
