Telehealth for Eureka residents · Main clinic and headquarters in Pasadena, California
Alpha Hormones® · Eureka, California
On the North Coast, distance shapes how people get specialty care, and Eureka is no different. Alpha Hormones® serves Humboldt County patients through telehealth, so you can work with our Pasadena-based practice without leaving Humboldt Bay. Whether your question involves menopause, testosterone, thyroid function, weight or long-term health planning, care begins with a video visit with a California-licensed provider. Lab work is drawn at a local site, and your provider uses those results to shape an individualized plan.
How Care Works From Eureka
Every appointment, from intake to follow-up, is designed to happen by video for Eureka patients. Your provider sends a lab order you can complete in Eureka, Arcata or another nearby town, and the results are reviewed with you at your next visit. That sequence repeats as your plan develops, with timing set by your provider rather than a fixed calendar.
Travel to Pasadena is never part of the routine for Humboldt County patients. If you are in Southern California for other reasons and would like an in-person appointment, our clinic team can arrange it during regular hours. For everything else, telehealth keeps your care close to home, and our staff can be reached at (213) 334-4111 with scheduling questions.

The Alpha Hormones® Difference
Your symptoms, health history, test results, and goals guide the conversation. Together, we discuss care options so you understand the next steps.
When testing is needed, your provider explains the results. These findings help guide treatment decisions and a plan to monitor your progress.
As care continues, follow-up visits and testing help your provider check your response. You can also ask questions and discuss changes to your plan.

Questions Before You Book
Longevity medicine focuses on understanding your current health markers and planning for the long term, using your history, lab work and goals. It does not promise to stop or reverse aging. Eureka patients start with a video consultation, complete labs at a local draw site, and then review the findings with their provider. Telehealth follow-ups track how your markers change over time.
Our team includes Dr. Rotana Steven Tek, D.O., founder and medical director, along with Julianne Humason, FNP-BC, Marcus Lee, FNP-C, Monikeo Williamson, FNP-BC, and Kellie Klein, PA-C. All are licensed in California, so any of them can see Humboldt County patients by telehealth. When you book, tell us if you have a preference, and our team will try to accommodate it.
Yes, recent results can be helpful context. Share them with our team before your first video visit, and your provider will review them alongside your history. Depending on the timing and which tests were run, your provider may still order new labs at a local draw site so your plan rests on current, complete information. Older results remain useful for seeing trends.
Your provider will explain when telehealth is not enough and what the next step should be. Our physical clinic is in Pasadena; if you are farther away, you may need care from a clinician near you. Telehealth is not an emergency service; call 911 for a medical emergency.
We work with many PPO plans, and our team can check your benefits before your first visit. Benefits vary by plan, and a verification does not guarantee coverage. Self-pay and Alpha Membership options are also available. Call (213) 334-4111 to review your options.
Any prescription depends on your provider’s evaluation, your lab results and the rules of the state you are in. If treatment is appropriate, your provider explains the plan, and our team helps coordinate pharmacy details and follow-up. Some therapies use compounded medications, which are not FDA-approved, and your provider will explain what that means for you.
Yes. Alpha Hormones® follows HIPAA requirements for protecting health information, and video visits take place over a secure connection. Please avoid sending detailed medical information by regular email; our team can tell you the right way to share records.
