Telehealth for Chula Vista residents · Main clinic and headquarters in Pasadena, California
Alpha Hormones® · Chula Vista, California
Alpha Hormones® provides telehealth care to adults across Chula Vista and the South Bay, from Otay Ranch and Eastlake to Bonita and National City. You do not need to travel to begin. A first visit is held over secure video with a California-licensed provider, who asks about your symptoms and health history and decides which labs make sense. Our services include women's BHRT, testosterone evaluation for men, thyroid care, sexual wellness and medical weight management, and each is approached on its own terms.
How Care Works From Chula Vista
Your consultation is booked within Pasadena clinic hours, which include Saturday mornings for patients whose weekdays are full. Labs are drawn at a site in the South Bay rather than at our Pasadena in-house laboratory. After results arrive, your Alpha Hormones® provider schedules a review visit to go over the numbers alongside your symptoms and explain any recommendations.
Ongoing care continues by telehealth on a schedule your provider sets, with labs repeated when they help guide decisions. If you would ever prefer to sit down with your provider in person, you can schedule a visit at our Pasadena office. That visit is optional, and staying fully virtual is a standard way for Chula Vista patients to receive care with us.

The Alpha Hormones® Difference
Your symptoms, health history, test results, and goals guide the conversation. Together, we discuss care options so you understand the next steps.
When testing is needed, your provider explains the results. These findings help guide treatment decisions and a plan to monitor your progress.
As care continues, follow-up visits and testing help your provider check your response. You can also ask questions and discuss changes to your plan.

Questions Before You Book
Our clinic team schedules telehealth visits during Pasadena clinic hours, Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 1pm. Chula Vista is in the same Pacific time zone, so there is no conversion to think about. Many people join a video visit from home or from a private room at work. Saturday morning appointments can help if weekdays are hard to set aside.
Alpha Hormones® works with many PPO plans, though benefits differ between plans and a verification of benefits is not a promise of coverage. We suggest checking with your plan and our team before your first visit so you know what to expect. If insurance does not apply to a service you want, our team can walk you through self-pay pricing and Alpha Membership options instead.
We try to keep you with the same provider, because they already understand your history, lab trends and goals. Julianne Humason, Marcus Lee, Monikeo Williamson, Kellie Klein and Dr. Tek are all licensed in California, so South Bay patients can be matched with any of them. If you want to change providers later, or a scheduling conflict comes up, our team can help arrange it.
Your provider will explain when telehealth is not enough and what the next step should be. Our physical clinic is in Pasadena; if you are farther away, you may need care from a clinician near you. Telehealth is not an emergency service; call 911 for a medical emergency.
Bring a list of your current medications and supplements, any lab results from the past year, and a short summary of your symptoms and when they started. If you plan to use insurance, have your card ready. This helps your provider make good use of the visit and recommend the right testing.
Any prescription depends on your provider’s evaluation, your lab results and the rules of the state you are in. If treatment is appropriate, your provider explains the plan, and our team helps coordinate pharmacy details and follow-up. Some therapies use compounded medications, which are not FDA-approved, and your provider will explain what that means for you.
Yes. Alpha Hormones® follows HIPAA requirements for protecting health information, and video visits take place over a secure connection. Please avoid sending detailed medical information by regular email; our team can tell you the right way to share records.
