How It Works

Understanding neuromodulators

Neuromodulators temporarily relax specific muscles that create expression lines—such as frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet. As those muscles soften, the overlying skin can appear smoother.

  • Results typically begin to appear within several days
  • Effects are temporary and commonly last about three to four months
  • Treatment plans are based on your anatomy, goals and medical history

Treatment Options

Choosing the right option for you

During your consultation, your provider will explain which option may suit your goals, how each one differs and what to expect.

Fat-Dissolving Injections

Compounded phosphatidylcholine (PC) injections for small, localized areas of fat, such as under the chin.

  • Compounded product—not FDA-approved
  • Physician evaluation required to determine candidacy
  • Gradual changes over multiple sessions; results vary
  • FDA-approved alternatives reviewed during consultation

Important: Compounded phosphatidylcholine injections are not FDA-approved, and their safety and effectiveness have not been established by the FDA. Kybella® (deoxycholic acid) is FDA-approved for moderate to severe fat below the chin. Your provider will discuss benefits, risks and alternatives before any treatment.

Treatment availability, candidacy and recommendations vary. A consultation is required before treatment.

Common Questions

What to know before you begin

When will injectables be available?

Neuromodulator and fat-dissolving injections are coming soon to Alpha Beauty®. You can book an appointment now to discuss your goals and current treatment options.

How long do neuromodulator results last?

Results are temporary. Many patients see effects for about three to four months, though duration varies by product, dose, treatment area and individual response.

Will I still look like myself?

That is the goal. We plan treatment around your anatomy and expressions to soften lines without a frozen or overdone look.

What are the possible side effects?

Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising at injection sites are common. Less commonly, headache or temporary drooping can occur. Your provider will review risks in detail.

Are fat-dissolving injections FDA-approved?

Compounded phosphatidylcholine injections are not FDA-approved. Kybella® is an FDA-approved option for fat below the chin. We discuss candidacy, risks and alternatives before recommending any treatment.

How much does treatment cost?

Pricing depends on the product, treatment areas and plan recommended for you. We explain costs clearly before you decide.
