Telehealth for Arcadia residents · Main clinic and headquarters in Pasadena, California
Alpha Hormones® · Arcadia, California
Arcadia sits in the heart of the San Gabriel Valley, and Alpha Hormones® serves the city from our clinic in neighboring Pasadena. Patients here often come to us for women's BHRT during perimenopause or menopause, testosterone evaluation for men, thyroid care and medical weight management. Many patients start with a visit in Pasadena, where your provider reviews your history and our in-house laboratory handles any lab work, while others begin by telehealth. After that, much of the routine follow-up can shift to telehealth.
How Care Works From Arcadia
Many Arcadia patients make the short trip west to our Pasadena office for the first appointment, though a telehealth start is also available. That visit covers a detailed history, any exam your provider considers useful and a blood draw in our in-house lab. Having everything in one location means results return to the same team that ordered them, and your plan is built from a complete picture rather than pieces gathered elsewhere.
Once your treatment is underway, many reviews happen by secure video. Follow-up timing depends on the therapy and your response, so there is no single calendar for everyone. Some patients prefer to keep coming in for each lab draw, while others combine an in-person draw with a video review later. Either approach is fine, and your provider will suggest what fits your care.

The Alpha Hormones® Difference
Your symptoms, health history, test results, and goals guide the conversation. Together, we discuss care options so you understand the next steps.
When testing is needed, your provider explains the results. These findings help guide treatment decisions and a plan to monitor your progress.
As care continues, follow-up visits and testing help your provider check your response. You can also ask questions and discuss changes to your plan.

Questions Before You Book
In most cases, yes. Alpha Hormones® aims to keep you with a consistent clinician so the person reviewing your labs already knows your history. Our team includes Dr. Rotana Steven Tek, D.O., along with nurse practitioners and a physician assistant. If your usual provider is unavailable and you need a timely visit, another member of the team can step in with access to your full record.
Conversations that rely mainly on symptoms, history and lab results often translate well to video. Examples include reviewing a recent thyroid panel or discussing how a weight management plan is going. Visits where a physical exam adds useful information, or where blood needs to be drawn, are better handled at the Pasadena clinic. Your provider will recommend the format for each step instead of leaving you to guess.
The Pasadena clinic is open Saturdays from 9am to 1pm in addition to weekday hours of 9am to 6pm. That Saturday window can be helpful if your work week makes it hard to get away for a lab draw or an in-person visit. Telehealth appointments are scheduled within clinic hours as well. Availability varies, so it is best to book ahead when you have a preferred time.
Your provider will explain when telehealth is not enough and what the next step should be. Our physical clinic is in Pasadena; if you are farther away, you may need care from a clinician near you. Telehealth is not an emergency service; call 911 for a medical emergency.
Bring a list of your current medications and supplements, any lab results from the past year, and a short summary of your symptoms and when they started. If you plan to use insurance, have your card ready. This helps your provider make good use of the visit and recommend the right testing.
We work with many PPO plans, and our team can check your benefits before your first visit. Benefits vary by plan, and a verification does not guarantee coverage. Self-pay and Alpha Membership options are also available. Call (213) 334-4111 to review your options.
Any prescription depends on your provider’s evaluation, your lab results and the rules of the state you are in. If treatment is appropriate, your provider explains the plan, and our team helps coordinate pharmacy details and follow-up. Some therapies use compounded medications, which are not FDA-approved, and your provider will explain what that means for you.
